RSS

I tackled a scarely subject again. Yes, it is RSS. Real Simple Syndication. Well, fortunately I found that RSS was not as bad as it sounds. I wish it sounds more friendly. Anyway it is a really convenient tool for being informed on the subjects that I am interested in. I have only to check my account in RSS aggregater (that's a new term for me, too). I can also access my account wherever Internet is available!. For a library, RSS can assist to keep customers informed on new arrivals and events, specially good for the customers who are unable to come to the library very often.

Flicker

Hurrah! I have done it! I have never imagined that searching photos from the web was so simple. I experienced before that all my efforts for finding an image went in vain, so I was prepared for a painful task. Thanks to the taggs, I can easily access the topic that I like and find one quickly from thumb nails. It is good to know photo web like Flicker gives us a safe place to store digital photoes.
Here is a photo of magnolia, taken by 'cpf1' in Washington D.C. on 22 March 2008 and downloaded from Flickr. Magnolia, specially mouve pink one is my favourite. It is a symbolic flower of spring as well as cherryblossoms in my home country. It makes me nostalgic.

Learning 2.0

I have just made my own blog for the first time in my life. I was pretty scared of the idea of "creating a blog'', but I found it simpler than I had thought. One thing left unsolved today is that I failed in uploading a photo from my computer. I will try again next time.

I was very impressed with seeing the blogs of other libraries in which the libraries and customers working together.
